Romance au chocolat is an entry into a cocoa-scented dreamscape. Five display cases. Five stories. One sweet chocolate universe. Each one tells its own story, yet they are all tied together by a single motif: chocolate, appearing in different shapes, roles and fantasies. Sometimes chocolate forms the very landscape itself; other times it becomes the hero of the scene – a precious artefact, a symbolic centerpiece, or even an almost human character. Each scene, crafted with Mirella’s signature subtle humour, glows with joy and lightness. Look closely, and you might just taste that velvety, irresistible, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate.
Sweet Stockpile
Welcome to a meadow where its tiny residents eagerly gather supplies for the winter. Among the berries and nuts, they’ve stumbled upon true treasures – E.Wedel chocolates. Suddenly, the cold season doesn’t seem so daunting. A joyful, cocoa-scented feast is on the horizon. Or perhaps… this isn’t winter prep at all, but someone’s birthday celebration?
Pirates’ Treasure
Here, chocolate takes the form of a pearly praline a legendary treasure hidden on the ocean floor. It’s guarded by a pirate crab, hopelessly in love with a golden-fish princess. The scene shimmers with light, transporting us to a world of coral atolls, echoing tales of corsairs and fairytales from the southern seas.
Cocoa Planet
A story of a cosmic adventure starring Ptasie Mleczko® cubes, which after weeks drifting through interstellar space finally land on their dream destination: a chocolate planet. Joy erupts instantly. Our explorers climb cocoa cliffs, bathe in sweet pools and marvel at geysers of molten chocolate. A futuristic twist on the land of milk and honey.
The Lovers
Here, chocolate becomes a symbol of affection – a tender gift that speaks the language of love. Two enamoured wafers play out their own version of the famous balcony scene from ‘Romeo and Juliet’, serenaded by the song of a nightingale. An ode to sweetness in every sense – a true romance au chocolat.
Chocolate Coconut
A vignette inspired by haute couture and the surrealist spirit of Elsa Schiaparelli. At its centre stands an elegant handbag: the quintessential companion of every lady. A chocolate bar, segmented into neat squares, mimics a quilted surface adorned with chocolate charms. In this world, pralines and caramels enter the spotlight – from the opera and the theatre to the very heart of refined elegance.
